Both morning and evening surgeries are by appointment only.
Please note 1 appointment is for 1 person.
Please inform the receptionist if you wish to cancel your appointment so that this can be used for someone else. This will reduce the waiting time for all patients.
Emergencies
If you need to see the doctor urgently during opening hours, please ring the surgery to request an emergency appointment. All emergency appointments will be seen the same day.
Telephone advice
The doctor also provides telephone advice daily between 11:30 – 12:30.
Chaperones
A patient may request a chaperone to be present for either a consultation or an examination. If possible this request should be made at the time of booking the appointment.
Cancellations
If you cannot attend an appointment, for whatever reason, this is not a problem.
Please inform the surgery before your appointment time on 01942 483 438 or you can email gp-y00050@nhs.net, if you feel you are unable to attend so that your appointment slot can be used for someone else who may need it. This also wastes valuable time for our clinicians.
Home visits
We ask all patients to come to the surgery whenever possible. However, should you require a home visit, requests should be made before 11:00.
Please note that transport problems do not warrant a home visit.
Visits will be at the doctor’s discretion.
Doctor will contact the patient prior to any home visit to make sure the visit is the most appropriate course of action.
Sick babies and children can usually be brought to the surgery and they will be seen on arrival without having to wait.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
